Hi Everyone! My name is Ben Nelson! I have been a Certified PGA Professional since 2015. 

While I was growing up, golf was always a part of my life.  My dad got me started early, cutting some clubs down for me when I was 2 or 3.  What he didn’t know, however, is that I would use those clubs to smash about 20 of our kitchen tiles!  I have been playing ever since.

Over my career, I have also been fortunate enough to have seen many parts of the golf industry.  I have been a teaching professional, a club-fitter, a merchandising manager, a product tester, an R&D coordinator, and now I make custom leather goods! While all of those experiences taught me things about the golf swing, manufacturing, and equipment, the one thing I really took away from those experiences was a drive to build something myself. 

The story with headcovers is a pretty easy one.  Whenever I went anywhere noteworthy or played a really fun course, I, like a lot of other people, wanted to grab something from the Pro Shop to remember it.  For some reason, I always gravitated towards the headcovers.  Maybe it’s how unique they all tend to be or just the designs, or tactile feel but I was always drawn to them.  

Then in 2025 I had the idea that I would make one as a fun project.  My Mom is an experienced sewer and already had a machine.  So I bought some leather, found a pattern online, and we tried to make one together.  Well, as I’m sure you can imagine, it didn’t turn out very good!  But that just made me want to make another one that was better.  Since then, that’s all I’ve been doing; trying to make the next cover unique, different, and better.
